Mason jars have been all the rage lately, but they've been around for quite a while now. And by that, I mean, since the 1800s! They were invented for home canning. But now they're being used for a multitude of things:

One of the most widely known manufacturer of mason jars is the Ball Corporation.

Where to Buy?

You can always buy mason jars online. There are a few local online specialty shops that sell Ball Mason Jars. However, they either sell it in sets, meaning the jar, the lid and a straw for a lot more than how much it would cost to buy each piece at a wholesale price. Then there are stores that sell the mason jars in sets of 6 and 12, but in order to make a profit they have it at 50% (sometimes higher) markup.

So Where to Buy it Cheap?

At your local Department Store!

Robinsons Place Antipolo opened last month. Went there last Sunday with my mom and my uncle. Inside their Department Store is where I found and bought a Ball 16oz Wide Mouth Pint Jar (69.75 Php) and a Ball 32oz Regular Mouth Quart Jar (89.75 Php). They also had a Quilted Crystal Jelly Jar for around 99 Php and a Ball Heritage Collection Sprng Green Mason Jar for around 130 Php (Can't remember the exact prices! Apologies!).

To compare, if you Google "mason jar philippines" the first few shops sell a 16oz Wide Mouth Pint Jar for 107-140 Php. While a 32oz Regular Mouth Quart Jar goes for around 130-150 Php.

Here are some pics of Danbo with my mason jars:

Hi Readers!
Last year I was able to raise 108% of my goal. This year I'm doing it all over again in support of Children's Hospital Los Angeles. Robinson's Metroeast Lingkod Pinoy Center Schedule

I watched a movie with my brother last week at Robinson's Metroeast. This 'commercial' was shown before the film trailers:

If you haven't watched the video above, what is Lingkod Pinoy?

In the efforts of Robinsons Malls to better serve the public, we have the
Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Center or RMLPC, a brainchild of Mr. Frederick Go
himself.
The Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Center is positioned as "Lingkod Pinoy". A
Public Service program of the Robinsons Malls that aims to turn Robinsons Malls
into venues for hassle-free, safe, and comfortable processing of requirements
such NBI Clearance, SSS payments and LTO license renewal, among others.
As of now, there are existing Robinsons Malls Lingkod Pinoy Centers in Robinsons
Galleria, Robinsons Place Manila, Robinsons Otis, Robinsons Metro East, Robinsons Place Imus, Robinsons Place Dasmarinas and Robinsons Nova Market.

Convenient right? Don't think there's anywhere else you'd see Government offices that are walking distance to each other, let alone in the same building! If you're in need of their services you'll need the schedule:

Chinese New Year special: What is my Chinese Horoscope and Ba Zi element?

This coming Chinese New Year 2014 we are welcoming the year of the Horse! The Ba Zi element for this year is Wood. Do you know what your Chinese Zodiac sign is? What about your Ba Zi element? Chinese zodiac signs are easy enough to look up. Ba Zi element however is not so easy. What you would need is a Ba Zi element calculator. There are free Ba Zi element calculators online but if you don't understand this:

Screenshot of my Ba Zi element result from Helene Weber's website.

you'd either have to purchase a personalized report, or pay for a subscription to make sense of it all. Because most of these websites do not provide free interpretations!

You're in luck though! Because I'm going to share a website that has a Ba Zi element calculator that comes with free interpretation/analysis. The website is currently the top result when you Google "Ba Zi element calculator". It probably has the #1 spot for a good reason too. It provides a free personal Ba Zi / Feng Shui Element Report without requiring you to sign up as a Member. Also, unlike the other websites, this one provides other Feng Shui information such as your Kua Type, Big Luck Summary, Good and Bad directions, and your Best Sleeping and Working positions (lol)!

What is my Chinese Horoscope and Ba Zi element?

First, here's what you need:
  • Name (optional)
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Hour of Birth (optional)

The link will take you to Geomancy.net's Daily Forecast page. Now all you need to do is scroll down to the bottom of the page and follow these simple instructions:
